I'm Emily — a painter, art teacher, and face painter. I take pet portrait commissions in oil and soft pastel, teach small-group classes out of my home studio on Mondays, and paint faces at events across the Wasatch Front.

Why my work looks like this
I don't paint what I see. I paint what I feel.
Two AAS degrees in animation and illustration, two decades of study under mentors I'm still learning from, and a lot of hours in front of an easel. My work is painterly and colour-forward — I'd rather catch a dog's expression in six confident strokes than copy every hair.
